Friendly, courteous staff, delicious food and nice to sit outside in summer ...

At Dioni everything was always great and our favorite Greeks. Now we have ordered during Corona times and have picked up our food. Unfortunately we were very, very disappointed. With the pepperoni as a starter there were 12 pepperoni for 6.50 euros. Even with the rest of the food, the amount we were used to in the restaurant was not what we were used to. The calamari were very sloppy and otherwise the taste of the food was far from what we were used to. For this reason Dioni pick-up service 1 star. At Dioni Essen we have always been more than satisfied = 5 stars. This results in an average rating of 3 stars.

Very tasty food. Portions are large and the quality of the food is excellent. Prices are fair. Currently, since you are not allowed to eat on site, a delivery service is even offered for the surrounding area. Food was there quickly and, as always, of great quality. Absolutely to suggest. (As soon as it is allowed again, you will of course eat there again)

I can recommend 100% ... super delicious food, ALL wait staff very attentive and friendly. Gladly again ... TIP- if you reserve, preferably the back seats, as it is not as noisy there as in the front area!

Lovely place with a great outdoor area. Huge menue with excellent options across all meats and vegetarian dishes as well. If you like fish, you can get this too. I recommend the octopus which is excellently cooked just to the right tenderness!

I'd rather not write a review ... the restaurant is already doing very well. Very, very nice and pretty young landlady. The other service people are also in a good mood, except for one. That always looks very crispy. But he just wants to play. So don't worry ... go there. The food is delicious too?

It has been one of our favorite restaurants for years - consistently consistent quality of the dishes and except for the moussaka, which was too boring for me even when I ordered twice in comparison to all other dishes (although according to the statement "Dioni" is just as desired by the guests) I can unreservedly recommend everything I've tried so far. However, the quantities are plentiful and we are not the only ones who are more or less constantly carrying some back home with us. The beer garden is unique in this area under the shady trees on the edge of the forest next to a tennis court and is quite spacious. Fortunately, there are usually enough parking spaces available. Despite sufficient space, the Dioni is always very well attended outside - if in doubt, make a reservation.

Comfortable to relax in the outside area! Personally, I didn't find the food so intoxicating that all dishes had to be seasoned! Think I wouldn't go there to eat again!

The food is really great! We were warmly welcomed and led to a table on the large terrace. The distance to the other tables was generous and we had the impression that the entire hygiene regulations were followed in an exemplary manner! Absolutely recommendable - also (or maybe because of) this whole corona hysteria ? Will be happy to come back ...

Great food, friendly and attentive service - prices absolutely justified. The fish plate has really surprised taste! A pleasure, although I'm not a big fish eater. Were there on July 24, 1919 to eat 9 (two small children) and will definitely come back.

Food is prepared with a lot of garlic, as supposed to in a good Greek restaurant ? Just be aware of it. Definitely a good option to have some tasty Greek food.
